Dear self, I do

(An original poem)

I accept you today as my rightfully owned body From your flaws to your scars. To love and to cherish you. To honor and respect you for who you are. To keep you at a high esteem and wear you with pride. Dear self, I do I accept to carry you wherever I go without hiding the curves of your insecurities To wipe you up when people spit dirt at you. I accept you for who you are and how you are. Never to keep our mirrors behind curtains. But to always look at them every morning and remind ourselves how unique we are. I promise to always be there to caress your curves and your edges. To kiss you on every part my lips can reach. To pick up your broken pieces when life toasts you a little too hard. I promise to love you without condition. Never to push you harder than you can go. Dear self, I do. I love you now, tomorrow and till death do us part.
